What is WhatCanYouPlay?

WhatCanYouPlay is a game discovery tool that helps you find the right game for the time you have.

Data we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site — things like which pages are visited and how long sessions last. This only runs after you give cookie consent. If you decline, no analytics data is collected.

We do not collect names, emails, or any personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily contact us or submit a game suggestion.

Cookies

We use Cookiebot to manage cookie consent. When you first visit the site, you'll be asked whether to accept statistics cookies.

• Necessary cookies — always active, required for the site to work.
• Statistics cookies — only set if you opt in. Used by Google Analytics.

You can change your preferences at any time by clearing your cookies or revisiting the consent banner.

Third-party services

• Google Analytics 4 — analytics, only active after consent. Google's privacy policy.
• IGDB — game metadata (titles, covers, genres) is sourced from the IGDB database, owned by Twitch/Amazon.
• Supabase — our database provider. Game data is stored on Supabase servers. No personal user data is stored there. Supabase privacy policy.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you're in the EU or EEA, you have rights under GDPR:

• The right to know what data we hold about you
• The right to have that data deleted
• The right to withdraw cookie consent at any time

Since we don't create accounts or store personal data, there's very little to request — but if you have any concerns, just get in touch.
